How to join

If you have doubts about joining the club, why not come along to any of our Tuesday evening sessions (usually a number of different groups running at various paces from the Bay Centre at 6pm). You will be most welcome and it will help provide an opportunity to gauge your fitness, fitting in, meeting new friends and so on.

If you would like to join the club, please complete the online membership application form – 2024/25 Membership Form 

Existing members will receive an email from England Athletics including a link to Stripe to pay for your 2024/25 membership.

New member information

New members are welcome and encouraged to attend any of the evening sessions (Our club runs normally meet from 6:00pm onwards on a Tuesday, meeting at the Bay Centre. Please also check the Burnham Harriers Facebook page as club runs can start at other locations).

Your Ordinary Club Membership Fee includes the England Athletics Registration / Membership Fee. £19 of your £22 membership covers the England Athletics affiliation.

England Athletics registrations run from 1 April to 31 March and once registered, you’ll be sent your England Athletics membership card approximately 6 to 8 weeks after your membership application is complete. Your England Athletics membership number will allow you to enter affiliated races (road running, track and field, cross country, trail and fell running) at a discounted price, as quoted by the race organisers. As we are an affiliated club, registered athletes are not required to pay the unattached levy to any of the above listed events.

The club has a qualified Coach in Running Fitness and several runners with the Leaders in Running Fitness qualification to support runners with running technique, training and ensure safety on our club runs.

Burnham-on-Sea Harriers Club/Training tops
A new supply of Burnham on Sea Harriers tops and vests have been organised through Scimitar Sports. Details are posted on the Burnham Harriers Facebook with additional garments available. Please see the Club Kit page for further details relating to garments supplied by Joma and Concept.

If you have doubts about joining the club, why not come along to our Tuesday evening club run. The club meet every Tuesday from 6pm onwards at the Bay Area Youth Centre, Cassis Close, Burnham on Sea. Take note that some club runs such as trail or speed sessions do start at other locations in the local area. Check out our Burnham Harriers Facebook page for latest news and updates and when you become a member, access to our Spond app is arranged to follow runs organised during the week.
