Tuesday evening club runs – 6:30pm – 7:30pm
The Tuesday night club runs are mainly run along the roads of Burnham on Sea together with the surrounding areas of Berrow, Brean, Highbridge and Huntspill. This session is currently split into 3 groups, determined by individual speed, but designed to cater for runners of all abilities. During the summer months, sessions are organised to incorporate training on the track, as well as runs that involve Burnham/Berrow/Brean beach or cross country, such as a run up Brent Knoll and Brean Down! A pub is a common reward at the end of these runs.
Summer runs are generally longer, with running times approximately 1 hour, or distances up to 7 miles, whilst winter runs are shorter, taking account of weather conditions and along routes that are well lit to enjoy running safely.
The club meet at The Bay Centre, Cassis Close for the 6:30pm sessions.
The club also has two qualified leaders in running fitness and a qualified Coach in Running Fitness to provide coaching and technical support to improve your running.
Thursday evening Running/fitness club – every Thursday, 6pm – 7pm
A Thursday evening running/fitness fun night. Thursday evening sessions has a mix of track or road running or fitness sessions such as circuit training for stamina and conditioning, held at Highbridge Community Hall.
Members will also post additional runs, such as on a Wednesday evening, or Sunday morning.

If you have doubts about joining the club, why not come along to any of the evening sessions (Tuesday 6:30pm, meet at Bay Centre) or at the Thursday evening Running Fitness class (6pm, meet at Highbridge Community Hall). You will be most welcome and it provides an opportunity to remove any concerns about levels of fitness, fitting in.
