We’re excited to launch the new 2026 Club Championship.
This updated format has been designed to make things fairer, more flexible, and more fun for all members — whether you’re chasing personal bests, exploring new races, or simply enjoying running with the team.

How it works
There are 12 races across the year, offering a mix of distances, terrains, and locations.
2 Parkruns are included — social, accessible fixtures at Weston-super-Mare and Cheddar. These are free to enter, providing a great financial incentive to take part.
Runners may attend any Saturday during that month at the listed parkrun for their result to count.
The Championship is open to all club members — a great way to stay motivated and involved throughout the year.
Races are selected by the Club Captain and Vice Captain to ensure variety and fairness across the club.
All races are provisional and may change depending on availability or entry limits.

Scoring
Results are based on age grading, which fairly compares performances across age and gender.
Each runner’s age-grade percentage becomes their points (for example, 72.46% = 72.5 points, rounded to one decimal place).
Example: A 50-year-old running 45 minutes for 10K may achieve the same age-grade score as a 35-year-old running 42 minutes, making it fair across ages and genders.
Bonus points are awarded to the top 10 male and top 10 female club finishers at each event (10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, and so on).
Your best 8 results from the 12 races count toward your final total, so you don’t need to race every month to stay competitive.
